Atlantic City Live Poker Up 2 Percent In May

May was a good month for New Jersey’s brick-and-mortar poker rooms.

Revenue from the Atlantic City’s poker tables was $2,278,055 last month, according to figures from state gaming regulators. The amount was two percent more than the $2,229,607 raked in May 2016.

While live poker grew, online poker revenue fell 17.5 percent year-over-year to $2,119,885. Internet poker rake was $2,570,853 in May 2016, according to state data.

This has been the trend as of late, with similar performances in April and March. The last time online poker grew year-over-year for Atlantic City casino operators was in February.

Taken together, the New Jersey poker market was $4,397,940 last month, down 8.3 percent compared to the $4,800,460 from online and live during the same month last year.
